Many people in the morning can just wake up, push their start button, and go. Some others will take a little more time getting out of the bed but they are wide eyed and bushy tailed in their first two steps.
Another few people will need to splash water on their faces to be up fully before they can start their day.
And more people will be up out of the bed ten minutes after the alarm has rung.
But hardly any people are like me.

The alarm clock will buzz on that side table and I reach out from under the covers to smack around for it before finally hitting the snooze button. Once that noise is gone, I am dead once more to the world in my own imagination. Yet it goes off again later and I slowly pull the covers off of my face. Bleary eyed, I look at the alarm clock before trying to hit it again. The alarm clock crunches as its tiny legs that hold it up break. I growl and knock the useless thing to the ground where the cheap plastic cracks and the alarm clock is useless. I let out a huff before crawling back under my covers into the seclusion of the warm darkness.
Then there is that solitary knock on the door that jerks me awake. My legs feel like they haven’t been used in days, which is probably true, as I carefully get up from the bed. Dragging myself to the door I knock over a pile of newspapers that flutter to the floor in black and white splendor. I squint at the locks on my door as another knock sounds. I let out a huff as I fumble with the lock and doorknob.
“What do you want?” I growl at the person standing there. I squint again as I see it is a tall man in a nicely tailored suit. The landlord. Whoopee for me. I don’t even care what I look like but I can picture myself in my mind. Brown dirty hair sticking up in odd places and falling in front of my face. A large white t-shirt with stains all over it hanging limply on my skinny frame. And a large pair of black athletic shorts that go down to my knees.
“There was a blackout this morning and I was checking up on everyone here to see if everything was back to normal,” comes his firm, quietly accented voice. Yeah, this morning after my alarm clock broke.
“I was fine until I was woken up by some man in a suit!” I snarl at him before shutting the door in his face. I fumble with the locks once more and I start to walk back to my bed as I hear his voice again.
“Well, have a great evening then,” came his muffled voice from behind the door.
I ignore him as I crawl back into my bed and burry myself under the covers.
“Evening…” I say sleepily as I close my eyes. “I need to get to bed then.”
I don`t really know why I wrote this. I just did out of the blue. I was sitting staring out my window with my cat when I thought of the beginning part. Then I wrote it all down and added onto it. It is sort of random but I think it is a little funny.
Please comment!!

P.S. I wrote the thing in first person. It is not actually about me. And I have blond hair anyways. ^_^
